Dr. Courtland J. Watson

Dr. Courtland J. Watson is one of the co-owners of the practice.

He grew up and was educated in California. He did undergraduate work at San Jose State College and graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1987.

Dr. Watson completed several externships concentrating on Primary Care Optometry, Low Vision Evaluations and Vision Therapy.

Since opening the practice with Dr. Randal P. North in 1988, Dr. Watson has received numerous honors including:

  1. President of the Minnesota Optometric Association in 1999
  2. Minnesota Optometric Association President Citation in 1997
  3. President of the Association of LensCrafters Lease Holding Doctors 1992-1995
  4. Bausch & Lomb Practice Advisory Committee 1998-2003
  5. Minnesota Optometric Association Trustee 1994-2000
  6. Member of the LensCrafters Advisory Board 1992-1995
  7. City of Lakes Grammar School Board Chair 1999-2001

In addition, Dr. Watson has been on 21 international optical missions, providing eye exams to thousands of needy people in third world countries including Bangladesh, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, and Thailand.

Dr. Watson is married and has three children. He enjoys any kind of sport and is known to have caught fish.
